We have known Antonella for about 15 years, and most recently had the pleasure of working with her to find an investment house. Our objective was to find the lowest price house , in a very upscale Hamptons neighborhood. Long term we want this as a real estate investment, and wanted to find something we could rent during the peak summer season to not only cover the carrying costs, but to have positive cash flow.
The real estate boom in the Hamptons was even more intense than just about anywhere else in New York. Not only were the prices ultra high, but cash buyers were willing to pay over the asking price, and abandon most pre purchase stipulations.
So, we jumped right into this with Antonella as our partner.
She is a tireless worker, and is absolutely wonderful to work with. She puts her clients needs above all else.
In one such case, we were interested in a very run down house that was priced well below the market, which is the perfect situation for an investment house. This was a complete tear down, and the opportunity to build a new house. Represented by a broker who was clearly setting up a bidding war among interested buyers. Meanwhile the property was part of a wetlands subdivision with 3 other homes. The broker couldn't produce a single shred of information such as an existing survey, the possible building envelope, or if the shared driveway was a deeded road, or private drive. There was even a partially exposed septic system, and again no answers to the many questions.
Antonella spent the next day at the Town offices getting the information that we needed.
Lastly, she works well with other brokers, and this is key. Many deals can be lost over bruised egos, or just a lack of follow up. She simply doesn't allow anyone else's shortcomings get in the way of doing whats best for her client.
